What happens when I breed a panda shrimp and bkk one strike

Recommended Posts

The best part of keeping and breeding Taiwan Bees are the offspring you receive. They will be all TBs, but honestly you never know what your going to get. I have never purchased Wine Reds, and only kept Pandas, BKK, Shadow Pandas, and Blue Bolts, now I have 5 Wine Reds.

if u want to purify ur "line", u can keep picingk up those non BB, and ur  BB off springs will start increasing in number.  then u will get pure line in the off-springs

It's long time process. few breeders in the world really go that route.

yep.  It's possible, but would prob take years.

I think lots of people tried, and just gave up for some reasons.

the easier way is just to move the other colors out.

Yeah.  I personally think people want things fast and instantly these days, so many breeding farms aren't willing to put in the time to breed strains so they breed true-ish.

I'm talking about some serious breeders. they do selective breeding of their PRL for years.

but no one want to guarantee their TB line is breed true.

I know Pure Line of TB exists. but it costs $$$ and rare few people wants to pay.

Qauality wise, it's same. pure line or not.

BKK, Panda, WR, BB are the same shrimp.

It breeds true already.

TB may equal TB, but phenotype does not yield phenotype.

I'm be one of those people looking to pay slightly higher to have a phenotype breed true regardless of grade. :)

It's not slightly higher, regular TB costs $$, and Pure Line TB costs $$$-$$$$.

and more important, Pure Line TB is not available in US.

I understsnd that, and obviously it is a dream wish to buy those.

As far as breeding goes though, they are worth their weight in gold. It is only through homozygous genes that we understand what color crosses yeild. Milkshake genetics will continue to throw random results.

Plus a strain is necessary if one wishes to selectively breed for a trait.
