scion11
How long do I have after a berried momma dies to rescue the eggs? My blueberry died yesterday, and i havent had time to do anything for her. Also, any simple diy ways to make a bubble hatchery?
EricM
as soon as possible. the problem is you need constant water flow over the eggs so letting them just sit there isnt good. I use the shrimp baskets I sell as incubators. I mount a small airstone a few inches below and gentle bubbles through the netting.
Soothing Shrimp
Do you have any problems with the shrimp eating the exposed eggs?
ctaylor3737
That's a good idea, I had luck once in a small beta jar. Have to keep flow going like you said, most won't survive but I always get a few out of the bunch. -Chris
featherblue
I made one with random air lube parts, a piece of clear tubing and a nylon. I made a cup out if the clear tube (1"), and the nylon toe. Added a bubble line underneath to keep the eggs bouncing, and used a few suction cups to keep it all together and at the surface
