Soothing Shrimp
In TT does the male of female carry the color traits? Or does it matter?
oem
Don't know which is the carrier in the shrimp world, but I would hope it was the males. In larger stock males carrying a desired gene can breed several females.
Soothing Shrimp
The best scenario for sure. heh In neos, the fem carries the color gene and I think in cards it is the belief the male does- so didn't know the answer to tupfel. Wygglz
I don't know if this will help but I had one red striped male bred with a normal female. The f1 were mixed and the colony now, which I haven't yet separated is about 60 - 40 normal to red with a very small % of what I will call oe for now. This kind of information is really interesting to me with my base of knowledge being with higher up species. The learning continues.
