bitbrush
I finally have a little more free time and would like to get back into shrimp breeding. I had a large community of shrimp in my 55 gallon planted but lost all of my stock to a faulty co2 solenoid. Since then I have struggled with finding the time to get a new colony established. My work projects are slowing down and I was hoping to find others in the boise, meridian, nampa area who have established stock. My biggest hope is to find some brown neocaridinia davidi. (I would love any of your unwanted mixed breeds). My goal this turn is to start fresh and get a genetically diverse bunch of mutts. I am also looking for recommended supplies or additives to help my shrimp thrive moving forward. I use seachem prime currently, and make my own root tabs for fertilizing but that is all for now. Here is a shot of my 55 gallon today:Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk ohmiko and Shrimple minded

I was looking for that kind of supplier! Do I need a tds meter? Never had one before. How would I adjust my water quality if I'm out of range?I've struggled keeping my ph down 8.2 out of the tap.Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk ohmiko
ohmiko
TDS meter is a must! I have this one https://www.amazon.com/HM-Digital-TDS-EZ-Measurement-Resolution/dp/B002C0A7ZY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1476235419&sr=8-2&keywords=tds+meter And do you not have a source of RO? I'm not familiar with using Tap but theres lot of people on here who have experiences with that! I'm sure they'll chime in soon with how to bring down PH. What kind of substrate do you have? And the best thing about using RO is if your water parameter is out, it's easily fixed with a quick wc and remineralizer inside the RO to raise ur TDS to the desired water parameter
