ANBU
I always wanted to try this method out. I probably want to add some Pandas in the near future This is my 15 gallon long CRS tank I setup the new tank next to it. I added seachem matrix, ceramic rings, and the substrate on top of the undergravel filter. I poured about 4 bags. Added tap water so the tank could cycle properly. How it looks with light on. There was no dust and its clear. Hiatus, eozen81, h4n and 2 others

DETAquarium
Looks like a great start! Seems like alot of people are trying this technique out. Not sure the benefits still. ANBU
Soothing Shrimp
Looks like a great start! Seems like alot of people are trying this technique out. Not sure the benefits still. Supposedly easier clean up from the bare side, more biofilm, and easier netting. ANBU and High5's
Ron
Nice start. I am thinking of trying a no substrate tank; well, no substrate in the display tank. I will either put bags of substrate in a sump or I'll put it in a canister filter inline with primary filter. aquariumlover10
Looks cool, but why not have a slope? So they don't have to swim up, they can walk up it.
fishyd
Very nice and clean. Make me want to try it. But I'm pretty sure my wife would kill me... eozen81 and ANBU

christinenha
Omg. I am still awed by your set-up! The shrimp look to be doing great on the bare side! Do you just have those two anubias in there? Do most set-ups have minimal plants for easier view/catching or is that just preference? christinenha
I'm about to set up my 20 long, and I've been on and off Han's website looking at plants. I may go overboard on plants again. >.> h4n and ANBU
