Isn't she beautiful?  This color was called "Green Czech Republic" years ago.  A couple problems occurred with this "strain" though.

 

It was found in the wild

The offspring weren't true.  Reds, blues, yellows, wilds, etc would come out with little of any offspring green.

 

This leads me to believe the green was probably because of diet, but how nice the excitement was during that brief period of time years ago.

When people started seeing generations not breeding true, it pretty much fell out of favor.

This is pretty neat, thank you for sharing!  Any ideas on what part of their diet could have caused the green color?  I wonder if it is possible for them to lose the green color over time if someone were to change their diet.

Myself and others have experienced the turning color of yellows to greens and browns through diet.  Take away the diet and they revert back eventually.

Unfortunately, some scammers on are to it and have sold yellow shrimp that have been doctored with diets for a quick buck.

Well if it was many years ago some lsd could have leaked into the water. It could happen. Especially if Hendrix was in the area. And you did say flashback sir so........
