Brackish snails

I am setting up an Opae Ula shrimp tank and wondering what kind of brackish snails or other invertebrates that can be safely kept with these shrimp.

Someone correct me please if I am incorrect, however I think nerites would be fine.

The tank is going to be 2 gallons only, most nerites sold are kept in either freshwater or saltwater, I am afraid if they couldn't handle the change and die they will affect the shrimp.

Nerites actually only breed successfully in brackish water, and had to be acclimated to freshwater.

That it true but I am looking to buy the onses that live only in brackish water. I had 1 Zebra nerite that didn't make it in a brackish (high end salinity) tank for too long.

I am trying to find Pipipi or similar snails.

Those are pretty snails.  Good luck with your search.

what did you get and from where?

I got Pipipi snails and hermit crabs from the link above.

Let us know when you get them. Next spring when we thaw out here in MN I'm going to order some opae shrimp and snails from them.

Does this guy live in Hawaii? I have a Hawaiian friend that I bought my shrimp from as well.
