Shrimpo
Looks like self cloning marbled crayfish, I could be wrong.
Sandovalsbco
Sure hope it isn't self cloning lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Soothing Shrimp
Looks too dark and grey to me for Marmorkrebs...
Sandovalsbco
I'm going to hold onto it for a bit longer. I'm just afraid that if it is self cloning my community tank will be over run with these little things. Wygglz
Someone I'm sure will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the self cloning ones are full size crays, not little ones.
Soothing Shrimp
Yep. Mine gre to be around 5" or slightly more. They all start small and grow though.
Soothing Shrimp
Yep. Mine grew to be around 5" or slightly more. They all start small and grow though. I'm still thinking this one looks too dark though. Mine were more beige.
shrymprdan
Hey guys, I think that could be a female Cajun dwarf crawfish. C. Schufelti. I have some and that always seems to be the color of the berried females. Shrimp Life
TKO
Here is a picture of my Marbled Crayfish. Base on the pattern I don't think it's the same shrimp. I've had these self cloning cray fish start breeding as small as 3".
Sandovalsbco
Small as three inches good to know. When i got them <-- (I found another one this one has a bit of blue spots on it but with brown still) they were small they've tripled they're size in about a month and a half so I'm sure they're going to still grow. I'll try and post another picture of both of them again when they come out of hiding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shrimp Life
What size are they? aquariumlover10
whatever they are get them a tank to their own, crays will eat fish and plants, dwarfs usually dont but sometimes they will. they will also climb up your filter intake and plants and decor to escape so get a tight fitting lid. if it has a red stripe down its head I know what it is, very aggressive and gets big. _OnTheRocks
Looks like cambarellus diminutus (dwarf blue crays) I have a tank full of them. Started with 6 females and 3 males and now the tank is full of 20+ babies and 3 of the females are currently berried. Potent little guys. Sandovalsbco
Yes I'm going to transfer them to a separate tank eventually. Right now they are doing good in my 40breeder. They stay on the bottom of the tank for the most part that I see them. I have a prefilter sponge so I'm not worried about them getting sucked up. aquariumlover10
ok, its not that they swim up and catch the fish its when the fish are resting on the bottom they will get them. I'm not worried about them getting sucked up, it's they will crawl out using the filter. but only a sponge filter for a 40g tank with fish isn't enough. Sandovalsbco
I'm currently working on moving them to a separate tank I just need to wait for my rack to finish cycling. So far though these two crayfish have been fine for 3 months now in my 40 breeder. The fish that I have in there are less than double their size so I don't think they'll eat them. The fish actually stay away from them because they will try to pinch them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
