Pinpoint Nitrate Monitor

Anyone try this out?  I think it would be great, between this and the PH pen, I would be set.  With Goldfish, I have to change the water every week at least 40%, but with shrimp and plants it is more of a monitor and change as needed.  This could go a long way.  Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this

Looks really cool.... but I can't drop that much on a nitrate pen. It says it was designed for marine saltwater, would it work right with freshwater?

Without being sarcastic, I guess the question is - does sw Nitrate read the same as fw Nitrate?

BTW, Pinpoint has pretty sweet customer service and information.........I called one day with a question about my pH monitor and ended up in a ~1-hour conversation with Lou Dell, one of the owners of American Marine.  Really good guy, I'm sure he would not only have the answer to the above question, but would also give you a "why" and teach you something along the way.

Thank you, I think I will call them. I have read very mixed reviews. Also it is set for freshwater or saltwater. I know it is pricy, but in a linked system with 20 tanks, it would be worth the cost if it works as designed
