35ppt
Every time I try to wade thru all the shrimp food/powder options I feel like I’m drowning. Is there a food (or powder) that is supposed to work like an immunity booster ? I have a tank with periodic unexplained losses (soooo disappointed) and all I can figure is that the shrimp could use a boost. I've had other shrimp in the tank previously, so I think there's something up with these particular neos.
PlantDude
I'm with you on the never ending choices of food. Really the only one that comes to mind with any type of "immunity booster" is CSF Omnia Pro Edge or even CSF Pure Mineral. Crush them if you want a powder. EricM
I would recommend 2 options for you. L'Bee Bacter or SL-Aqua Magic Powder. https://www.discobee.com/collections/lbee/products/lbee-bacterbee - Composition: Amino Acids, Beta Glucan, Enzymes, Probiotics bacteria. https://www.discobee.com/collections/sl-aqua/products/sl-aqua-magic-powder
slycat929
http://buypetshrimp.com/shrimp-nature-shield-15-grams-immunity/ http://buypetshrimp.com/shrimp-nature-brown-30-grams-supports-overall-health/ http://www.theshrimptank.com/vitamin-health-aids/glasgarten-betaglucan-immunglobulin/ Those above are supposed to specifically help with immunity, although I only use the shrimp nature ones. I rotate it through my feeding schedule with an assortment of other foods thrown into the mix. In general, I think having a well balanced feeding regimen is key. jem_xxiii
All the foods that I could think of off the top of my head have already been listed above. Now it comes down to price and ingredients.
DETAquarium
I currently only use Lowkeys Amino Acid Vital Plus for a supplement. Maybe we can help you in identifying the reasons of your unexplained deaths? I hate to tell you a certain food or supplement to attempt to solve your mystery when it fact it could be something totally unrelated. sarah, ibebian, ShrimpP and 1 other
ibebian
Also BorneoWild Shield powder food which I use sparingly. Have not had a shrimp death so far. Key is to use less than you think you should, especially if introducing it for the first time. For about 60+ RCS, CRS, I use a tiny pinch about half the surface area of my pinky fingernail.
