Soothing Shrimp Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Anyone have experience with Riccia Fluitans grown emersed? How tall does it get, how fast does it spread? Quote
jem_xxiii Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Never grown it emersed, but from what I have read it spreads quickly as it does submerged. Soothing Shrimp 1 Quote
Duff0712 Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 No experience but I would figure it will grow great emersed as long as it remains moist -Duffy Soothing Shrimp 1 Quote
Soothing Shrimp Posted February 8, 2016 Author Report Posted February 8, 2016 I'm thinking about doing some vivarium scaping with it if it grows relatively fast. Does anyone know how tall it grows? Quote

Shrimple minded Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Never heard of mood or sheet moss.......... http://www.amazon.com/Fresh-Mood-Perfect-Terrariums-Bonsai/dp/B00BPIOKAW Quote
jem_xxiii Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 it grows emersed next to riverbeds, I am sure it will do great for you. Soothing Shrimp 1 Quote
Soothing Shrimp Posted February 8, 2016 Author Report Posted February 8, 2016 Shrimple, mood moss would be great if I had low humidity. However since I have to have high humidity, it's not for this particular environment. Thanks for the suggestion though! Quote
Steve R. Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 I had it in my paludarium. It really annoyed me because it was so invasive and it took me a long time to get rid of it. It kept growing into my HC and reappeared sometimes after weeks. It grows very flat emersed. If you keep it in monoculture it might be a good choice for you. It looks pretty. jem_xxiii and Soothing Shrimp 2 Quote
