  1. Hi! Also i'm looking for experienced users of MK Breed products, cos i want their opinion about possibilities to improve white color with MK Breed product line.
  2. I have a few too many PRL for sale. Purchased from Techsmith a year back thereabouts and reported to be from Green Peppers line. TDS @150, pH is @ 6.6 , GH 5 and KH 0-1. They are kept at room temp so currently 68F. 4$ each plus shipping so 12$ west coast and 9$ east coast
  3. First post here so if i'm missing something go easy on me. I have some PRLs that I'd like to continue to breed, but I wouldn't mind getting a couple other caridina or adding a caridina to the PRLs to get something new. Obviously this would be in a new tank so I don't mess up the line. I'm just wondering how you figure out what patterns do what and if there is a basics of cross breeding or a chart I could reference.
  4. So thought I'd do a journal so you can see the progress as we start a tank just for our shrimp we want to prepare for Novembers contest. The tank is approx 10 gallons, the perfect size for a selection tank. Here is the first week of setup. First steps: May1st SL-Aqua Nature Soil powder. Next, add 1 spoonful of SL-Aqua Magic Powder Then I added 1 spoonful of SL-Aqua Milione Adding just enough RODI water to cover the soil, then adding SL-Aqua Purify. I used approximate 200ml.
  5. Howdy peeps, I have a 5 gallon tank that is being over run with PRL and I desperately need to sell some. I got them from techsmith who told me he got his from Green Pepper shrimp. I am selling them for 4$ each plus shipping and have at least 30 to sell probably more! All juvies or babies which have been raised in pH 6.5 and TDS about 180. I am one my 5th set of babies at least and really want to get rid of some as they are eating me out of house and home 😁
  6. Hi! I have an automatic feeder for main tank (180L) for Amano shrimps and fish, but i can't use it with shrimp tank (30L) cos the food powder for shrimplets (Mosura Shrimpton), cannot be dosed properly. I'm looking for any good soluton(s) to feed PRL shrimps and srimplets in my 30L tank, at holiday time (10-12 days) with special food for shrimplets. I would appreciate it if somebody have solution for this situation.
  7. HI! I have a 30L tank with 13 PRL shrimps and now i'm trying to create successful colony for next step - selective breeding. pH: 6,0-6,1 GH/KH: gH 8, kH 0, TDS: 155-180 Temperature: 22-23,5 24°C Substrate: Ista Premium Soil 3.5mm Filtration: corner HMF with Aquael Pat Mini powerhead + aeration inside the HMF Whats Inside? flame moss, phoenix moss, ricardia moss, bucephalandra sp.?, weeping moss (vesicularia ferriei) - on bonsai wood, dragon stone (completelly neutral), Black Cones, Catappa leaves The tank was cycled for 2 months before the shrimps added to tank by 03 september 2017 WC: RO+SaltyShrimp Bee Shrimp Mineral GH+ 20% per 2 weeks I'm very new with shrimps and now i'm looking for good feeding plan for them, cos now not all shrimps check the food plate. My feeding plan now: Monday: Ebi Dama Tuesday: Glassgarten Baby Wednesday: Ebi Dama Thursday: CrustaGran Baby Friday: Ebi Dama Special Saturday: JBL NovoPrawn Sunday: Day off I'm planning to add to Sunday Dennerle Crusta Spinach Stixx. If somebody can give me advice with feeding plan or/and give me a direction - what to change, these advice's will be very helpful
  8. Shrimpspot Family, When I started the shrimp hobby, I tried Cherry Shrimp they survived but didn't thrive. I bought Blue Velvets they breed a little. However I gave some to a friend and told him what to do and he had an explosion of shrimp. I then decided to take a leap into PRL’s even though I did not have much success with Neo’s. I was surprised when I started to have more success with these than I did with the Neo’s especially since everyone claimed that they were harder to breed. I say if you have been on the fence about getting some PRL Crystal Red Shrimp then just dive in and go for it. As long as you have researched talked to others and setup your tank parameters you should have success. I’m taking orders this week and will be shipping on Monday but I only have a limited amount of PRL’s available. So place your order today. 8 PRL’s for $68 Tank Parameters: PH: 6.2 GH: 4 KH: 0/1 TDS: 150
  9. I have a few packages of PRL ranging from A-SS grade. It will be a random scoop. 10 for $50 20 for $100 local pick up. I am located in Rosemead, CA. i currently do not have any supplies to ship.
  10. Hi Everyone, So 3 weeks ago I started my first shrimp tank project, it was a dual tank aquaponics setup with one tank housing a betta and one tank housing some CRS and RCS. Just wanted to share some good news! I figured that the plants in the tank, and the extra plants i'm growing the the grow bed, will keep nitrates down and hopefully maintain stable water parameters. So far for the 3 weeks I've tested my water every other day and parameters have remained stable at: pH: 6.4 gH:7 kH:0 TDS:234 ppm Ammonia: 0 ppm Nitrites: 0 ppm Nitrates <5 ppm In the past 3 weeks so many wonderful things have happened, I had an RCS that i brought home who was already berried, she gave birth just 3 days after I got her so now I have a lot, and I mean A LOT of babies and so far I think I have a pretty good survival rate, I can count at least 12-14 babies at any given time. One of my PRL CRS had "the clear band of death" right under the head. I was super worried for the whole week it had it, but this morning when I checked in on her, the band was gone and she is now berried!
  11. Forum members have been asking me for shrimps videos.Plan was to make them early this year but busy schedule and some photo gear problem delayed the project. Now after finding the right video camera and enough free time I'm ready to post couple of videos. Will start with video showing 4 year project of High Grade Blue Bolts and Panda Mosura. I'll try to add new video at least once a week.Probably to be easy to find them I'll post them all in this first post. For better quality and fast buffering you can watch them in YouTube. Please fill free to add your videos and comments

  16. I'm so excited! New to shrimp keeping..well I had ghost shrimp that bred like crazy in my heavily planted guppy/molly tank. Those suckers were tough! They can take on a guppy any day.:) Anyway I got some pretty prl's from SKA Shrimp a couple months ago. Love them and I was so surprised today to see my first couple of babies! The picture is bad...but I have a question: I usually do a water change tomorrow - 10% weekly. Should i wait a week or something? I think I read that somewhere... Thanks
  17. Which in your opinion, is a more impressive sight to behold, a tank full of PRL CRS or Wine Reds? (whichever grade you prefer, please state). Assume high quality (solid color saturation). No Ruby Reds (majority red coverage). I've seen pics and can't make up my mind, but maybe those who have seen them in person can offer a better judgement.

  25. Hey SS. Decided to move my shrimp journal here. The other website isn't really a community anymore (not since you guys all moved here) so I decided to make things easier and just post here. With TapaTalk, I find myself always posting on here anyways. This journal is to share my experience with photography, shrimp keeping, and general knowledge. I keep a lot of shrimps, so I didn't want to make too many post so consolidating everyone I own into a single thread is simple. This will compose pictures and setups of all my shrimp stuff. Those familiar with me on the other website should already know I keep Taiwan Bees. Specifically, I keep Pandas, Shadows, Blue Bolts, Extremes, BKK, Red Wines, Ruby Reds, Dragon Wines, etc. There's too many morphs of Taiwan Bees to know. I also keep PRL including Xin/Feather PRL, and Nishiki PRL. Future plans is to finish my semi-rack at my parents. Things are cooling down now and I'm buying a few cooling supplies to help endure the hotter summers to come. Just got some stuff so I'll try my best to update with photos of what I have. Mainly, I want to post pictures of shrimps and develop my photography skills. Any tip on taking macro photography is greatly appreciated! Anyhow, here's a photo of a Blue Bolt.
