20l is almost cycled, so I started to scape a bit so far I have Echinodorus opacus verde, Bucephalandra brownie phantom, Cameroon moss, Fissidens fox, Malaysian fissidens and Erect moss. I haven't decided on what moss I am going to attach to driftwood yet, I may also add Echinodorus green spike.

Great minds think alike. I considered getting those for my shrimp tanks but picked up some Japanese Made lamps when in Japan.

I'm fancy like that. [emoji41] (kidding)

I was going for that kind of look retro/industrial, the two tanks are proto types for when I build my rack. I wanted to see how the system would preform before I go all in on a room full of tanks. I'd love to see them fancy lamps.

Gimme a few months. I need to cleanup the house, make space, find a custom stand builder or wood worker to make me stands for 25g cubes. Once these steps are completed I can setup the tanks and lamps. Then I'll show you.

Are the 25G cubes 18" x 18"?

I'm curious to know if they would fit (side by side) on the following metal rack from Lowes..........

Hey mate,

Here's what the lamp lights I got from Japan looks like. This isn't the final home for these lights, but as I had time to setup the hangbar for another fixture, I figured I'd clamp them on and show you.

It's pretty sexy. Color is that gunmetal silver, it's pretty slick. I'm planning on swapping out the bulbs with the Philips Hue and have complete control over the lighting.

That's some sweet lighting. Thanks for sharing.

Ikea has some interesting spotlights for a decent price, the clamp might need some work though. Thinking about these for my upcoming build.

A little update. Crystal whites are doing well, I should see a 3rd clutch 3/10/2015. My first clutch is around 3 months and should be ready to start breeding in the next few months. The 20l is aged and ready to go, I will be adding shrimp in a few weeks.

I am about to revamp my shrimp space with a liner pump and a few more tanks.  It's looking kind of Jurassic park atm the crystal whites are doing well and some of my first  born are starting to saddle there around 5 1/2 to 6 months old.

Using UGF and sponge filter is working well. There not that aesthetic to look at but from a breeder stand point they are productive, low cost and simple way of breeding shrimp.

Here are some before pic's pre revamp.
